Kaye's Slippers
I use REd Heart and and h hook but change the size of hooks and size
of yarn depending on what I am trying to make. Smaller hook and
smaller yarn for baby booties.
Chain 27
Row1:
Dc in fourth ch from hook and each chain across. ch 3 and turn (25 dc)
Row 2:
Dc in 2nd dc and each dc across including turning chain. ch 3 and turn
Row 3 and 4:
Repeat row 2. At end of row 4 ch 3 and turn to make cuff.
You will make 10 rows for the cuff.
Rows 1-10:
Dc in 2nd dc and in next 5 dc. ch 3 and turn. At end of row 10 do not
ch 3. You will attatch the top of row 10 to the chain side of top.
Once the cuff is complete you will need to make 4 rounds for the sides
and the soles.
Rnd1:
Ch 3, and dc in each dc, 1 dc in the end of each row, 1 dc in each ch
on opposite side of piece, 1 dc in the end of each cuff row. join to
begining ch 3. Ch 3 do not turn.
Rnd 2:
Dc in eac dc around piece. join to begining ch 3. Ch 3 do not turn
Rn 3:
Dc in each dc around piece working 1 dc decrease in the end of toe and
the back of cuff.join to begining ch 3. ch 3 do not turn.
Rnd 4:
Dc in each dc around working 2 dc decreases evenly spaced on both sides
of the piece. join to begining ch 3 and fasten off.
Turn right side out and whip stitch the open seam on the bottom
together.
I often do the top piece and cuff in one color and then do the sides
and bottom in another. I also have put a row of sc around the top of
the cuff for a more finished look.
Not sure how clear this will be to follow as I am quite new to
writing out patterns.
