1 would be near birth</div> <div>  1 (yes, only 1) would have a college education</div> <div>  1 would own a computer</div> <div> When one considers our world from such a</div> <div>  compressed perspective, the need</div> <div>  for acceptance, understanding and education</div> <div>  becomes glaringly apparent.</div> <div> The following is also something for us to ponder..</div> <div>  If you wake up this morning with more health than illness...</div> <div>  you are more blessed than the million who</div> <div>  will not survive this week.</div> <div>  If you have never experienced the danger of</div> <div>  battle, the loneliness of</div> <div>  imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation...</div> <div>  you are ahead of 500 million people in the world.</div> <div>  If you can attend a church meeting without</div> <div>  fear of harassment, arrest,</div> <div>  torture, or death.. your are more blessed</div> <div>  that three billion people in the world.</div> <div>  If you have food in the refrigerator,</div> <div> clothes on your back, a roof</div> <div>  overhead and a place to sleep...</div> <div>  you are richer than 75% of this world.</div> <div>  If you have money in the bank, in your</div> <div>  wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace...</div> <div>  you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.</div> <div>  If your parents are still alive and still married...</div> <div>  you are very rare, even in the united States and Canada.</div> <div>  If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing</div> <div> in that someone was thinking of you, and</div> <div>  furthermore, you are more blessed that</div> <div>  over two billion people in the world who cannot read at all.</div> <div>  Someone once said:</div> <div>  What goes around comes around.</div> <div>  Work like you don't need the money.</div> <div>  Love like you've never been hurt.</div> <div>  Dance like nobody's watching.</div> <div>  Sing like nobody's listening.</div> <div>  Live like it's Heaven on Earth.</div> <bR> <div> <IMG SRC="12564640.gif" border=0 width="100" height="100" ALIGN="BOTTOM" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0"></div> <div>  THE UNITED STATES ONE DOLLAR BILL</div> <div>  Take out a one dollar bill, and look at it. The one  dollar bill you're</div> <div>  looking at first came off the presses in 1957 in its present design. This</div> <div> so-called paper money is in fact a cotton and linenblend, with red and</div> <div>  blue minute silk fibers running through it. It is actually material.</div> <div>  We've all washed it without it falling apart. A special blend of ink is</div> <div>  used, the contents we will never know. It is overprinted with symbols and</div> <div>  then it is starched to make it water resistant and pressed to give it that nice crisp look.</div> <div>  If you look on the front of the bill, you will see the United States</div> <div>  Treasury Seal. On the top you will see the scales for a balanced budget.</div> <div>  In the center you have a carpenter's square, a tool used for an even cut. Underneath is the Key to the United States </div> <div>  Treasury. That's all pretty easy to figure out, but what is on the back of that</div> <div>  dollar bill is something we should all know.</div> <div>  If you turn the bill over, you will see two circles. Both circles,</div> <div>  together, comprise the Great Seal of the United States. The First</div> <div>  Continental Congress requested that Benjamin Franklin and a group of men</div> <div>  come up with a Seal. It took them four years to accomplish this task and</div> <div> another two years to get it approved. If you look at the left-hand</div> <div>  circle, you will see a Pyramid. Notice the face is lighted, and the</div> <div>  western side is dark. This country was just beginning. We had not begun</div> <div>  to explore the West or decided what we could do for Western Civilization.</div> <div> The Pyramid is un-capped, again signifying that we were not even close to</div> <div>  being finished. Inside the capstone you have the </div> <div>  all-seeing eye, an ancient symbol for divinity.</div> <div>  It was Franklin's belief that one man couldn't do it alone, but a group of</div> <div>  men, with the help of God, could do anything. "IN GOD WE TRUST" is on</div> <div>  this currency. The Latin above the pyramid, ANNUIT COEPTIS, means, "God</div> <div>  has favored our undertaking." The Latin below thepyramid, NOVUS ORDO</div> <div>  SECLORUM, means, "a new order has begun." At the base of the pyramid is</div> <div>  the Roman Numeral for 1776. If you look at the right-hand circle, and check it carefully, you will learn that it is on every National Cemetery in the United States. It is also on the Parade of  Flags Walkway at the</div> <div>  Bushnell, Florida National Cemetery, and is the centerpiece of most hero's</div> <div>  monuments. Slightly modified, it is the seal of the</div> <div>  President of the United States, and it is always visible whenever he</div> <div> speaks, yet very few peopleknow what the symbols mean.</div> <div> The Bald Eagle was selected as a symbol for victory for two reasons:</div> <div>  First, he is not afraid of a storm; he is strong, and he is smart enough</div> <div>  to soar above it. Secondly, he wears no material </div> <div> crown. We had just broken from the King of England. Also, notice the</div> <div>  shield is unsupported.</div> <div> This country can now stand on its own. At the top of that shield you have a</div> <div>  white bar signifying congress, a unifying factor. We were coming together</div> <div>  as one nation. In the Eagle's beak you will read, "E PLURIBUS UNUM",</div> <div>  meaning, "one nation from many people". Above the Eagle, you have</div> <div>  thirteen stars, representing the thirteen original colonies, and any</div> <div>  clouds of misunderstanding rolling away. Again, we</div> <div>  were coming together as one. Notice what the Eagle holds in his talons. He</div> <div>  holds an olive branch and arrows. This country wants peace, but we will</div> <div>  never be afraid to fight to preserve peace. The Eagle always wants to</div> <div>  face the olive branch, but in time of war, his gaze turns toward the </div> <div>  arrows.</div> <div>  They say that the number 13 is an unlucky number.</div> <div>  This is almost a worldwide belief. You will usually never see a room</div> <div>  numbered 13, or any hotels or motels with a 13th floor. But think about this: 13 original</div> <div> colonies, 13 signers of the Declaration of Independence, 13 stripes on our flag, 13 steps on the Pyramid, 13 letters in the Latin above, 13 letters</div> <div> in "E Pluribus Unum", 13 stars above the Eagle, 13</div> <div> bars on that shield, 13</div> <div>  leaves on the olive branch, 13 fruits, and if you</div> <div> look closely, 13 arrows.</div> <div>  And, for minorities: the 13th Amendment. </div> <div>  I always ask people, "Why don't you know this?" Your children don't know this, and their history teachers don't know this. Too many veterans have</div> <div>  given up too much to ever let the meaning fade. Many veterans remember</div> <div>  coming home to an America that didn't care. Too many veterans never came home at all.</div> <div> <IMG SRC="12be0300.gif" border=0 width="480" height="48" ALIGN="BOTTOM" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0"></div> <div> As it comes upon winter here in the USA, </div> <div> Instructions are always given with kerosene heaters to not fill them in the house, but everyone does it.  </div> <div> This is what I read in an 1800's newspaper and it works.</div> <div> Put cornmeal on kerosene spils on the floor or carpet, leave it overnight, then vacume, all of the kerosene will come out as it is soaked up by the cornmeal.  </div> <div> <IMG SRC="12f5c420.gif" border=0 width="92" height="66" ALIGN="BOTTOM" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0"></div> <DIV ALIGN="LEFT"></DIV> <div> Indian Wars & the Vietnam Experience</div> <div> Ben Chitty</div> <div> By the time we were drafted or enlisted to fight in Vietnam, we had already been indoctrinated for that war since childhood by the mythology of America. One myth we soaked up was "cowboys and Indians" - the long saga telling how white Europeans carved a great nation out of a land inhabited by savages. But when we went to war, it wasn't much like the movies. Not much of a script. The guys in white hats weren't winning, and weren't the good guys anyway. The victims weren't grateful. Death wasn't noble. War was mostly confusing and sometimes terrifying. At best, we survived to come back.</div> <div> War taught us some things. We learned that politicians tell lies, and call themselves "patriots," that the "national interest" usually means someone can make a lot of money. We knew that the honesty and loyalty and sacrifice required of us in war were worth a lot more than the dishonest, manipulative, greedy politics which sent us into combat.</div> <div> But Vietnam had another, harder lesson for us. We saw the "American way of life" from a different angle, at the edge of the empire. We enforced it, made it work. Nations occupied. Populations terrorized and decimated. Countrysides laid waste. Societies and cultures destroyed. For what? So that people would fear us, and learn that opposing the United States government meant poverty, misery, and death. So that corporations could keep making money. So that colonels and commanders could become generals and admirals. So that politicians could get re-elected.</div> <div> Back in the world, home looked different. The country we served - it turned out to be a racist nation from the very beginning, when the indigenous peoples were killed to clear the land, and Africans enslaved and transported to work the newly-cleared land. The system we defended - it was set up so that a lot of people had to be poor so that a few could get rich, and poor and working people, our own families and friends, had to squabble over fewer and fewer opportunities. The same culture which taught us to be soldiers also turned women into objects, things to be bought and used, brutalized and discarded. It taught such fear and hatred of homosexuality that gay people were beaten on the streets, just for "fun." It produced masterpieces of machinery which no one could control, and stripped and poisoned the land to protect and increase the margin of profit. What a world to come home to.</div> <div> Then when we looked again at our own history, our war in Indochina turned out to be an all-American war. The Dominican Republic, Korea, Puerto Rico, Nicaragua, Haiti, the Philippines, Cuba, Mexico: American soldiers fought in all these countries, occupying some, annexing others, installing puppet regimes in the rest, extending or defending an empire. A bitter irony - we had wanted to serve: we wanted to be patriots. African Americans whose parents couldn't vote; Chicanos and Puerto Ricans whose culture dissolved into assimilated poverty. Poor and working-class whites tracked into the draft instead of college or the National Guard. Native Americans proving they too were "real" Americans. The real war - it turned out - was here at home too, and we had been on the wrong side.</div> <div> If this country is ever to be the kind of country we wanted to serve, it has to change. The change has to come from the beginning, from the very foundations of our society. The real war goes on still - Angola, Grenada, Cambodia, Nicaragua, Panama, Iraq - are all combat fronts which opened after the fall of Saigon. But the oldest war in our history is the Indian War, the war over the land. Our own war looked something like this war. The "wild West" was a free-fire zone. General Custer was on a search-and-destroy mission at Little Big Horn. Not much to choose between Wounded Knee and My Lai, or between forced relocation to new reservations and the resettlement camps we built in Vietnam.</div> <div> One lesson we learned is also the same. These natural antibiotics and antioxidants may</div> <div> give unvaccinated people who have been exposed to biological or chemical</div> <div> weapons enough time to secure professional care. They may even save lives.</div> <div> It is a fact that chaotic events will make it difficult to obtain</div> <div> appropriate treatment even if it were available. So we must learn more</div> <div> about natural antidotes. Furthermore, it is clear that antidotes to</div> <div> biological attacks need to be employed at home or the workplace in an</div> <div> expedient manner. The idea of the masses running to obtain medical care or</div> <div> vaccines at doctor's offices, clinics or hospitals needs to be abandoned if</div> <div> civilian defense against biological weapons is to become a reality.</div> <bR> <div> NATURAL RESCUE REMEDIES</div> <div> Since anthrax is the most feared toxin it will be addressed first. The</div> <div> Garlic Information Center in Britain indicates that deadly anthrax is most</div> <div> susceptible to garlic. Garlic is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that even</div> <div> blocks toxin production by germs. [Journal Nutrition, March 2001] Before</div> <div> vaccines were developed against polio, garlic was used successfully as a</div> <div> prophylactic. In one test garlic was found to be a more potent antibiotic</div> <div> than penicillin, ampicillin, doxycycline, streptomycin and cephalexin, some</div> <div> of the very same antibiotic drugs used in the treatment of anthrax. Garlic</div> <div> was found to be effective against nine strains of E. coli, Staph and</div> <div> other bugs. [Fitoterapia, Volume 5, 1984] Freshly cut cloves of garlic or</div> <div> garlic powder may be beneficial.</div> <bR> <div> The antibiotic activity of one milligram of allicin, the active ingredient</div> <div> in garlic, equals 15 units of penicillin. [Koch and Lawson, Garlic: The</div> <div> Science and Therapeutic Application, 2nd edition, Williams & Wilkins,</div> <div> Baltimore 1996] Garlic capsules that certify their allicin content</div> <div> are preferred and may provide 5-10 milligrams of allicin, which is</div> <div> equivalent to 75-150 units of penicillin.</div> <bR> <div> The anthrax bacterium's toxicity emanates from its ability to kill</div> <div> macrophage cells which are part of the immune system. Studies have</div> <div> shown that sulfur-bearing antioxidants (alpha lipoic acid, N-acetyl</div> <div> cysteine, taurine) and vitamin C, which elevate levels of glutathione, a</div> <div> natural antioxidant within the body, counters the toxicity produced by</div> <div> anthrax. [Molecular Medicine, November 1994; Immunopharmacology, January</div> <div> 2000; Applied Environmental Microbiology, May 1979]</div> <bR> <div> The above sulfur compounds can be obtained from health food stores and taken</div> <div> in doses ranging from 100-500 mg. Vitamin C should be the buffered alkaline</div> <div> form (mineral ascorbates) rather than the acidic form (ascorbic acid) and</div> <div> should be combined with bioflavonoids which prolong vitamin C's action in</div> <div> the blood circulation. The powdered form of vitamin C is recommended to</div> <div> achieve optimal dosing. A tablespoon of vitamin C powder (about 10,000 mgs)</div> <div> can be added to juice. Good products are Twinlab's Super Ascorbate C powder</div> <div> and Alacer's powdered vitamin C.</div> <bR> <div> Melatonin, a sleep-inducing hormone available at most health food</div> <div> stores, has been shown to help prevent lethal toxins from anthrax exposure.</div> <div> [Cell Biology Toxicology, Volume 16, 2000] It could be taken at bedtime in</div> <div> doses ranging from 5-20 mg. Melatonin boosts glutathione levels during</div> <div> sleep. Of additional interest, one of the methods by which mustard gas works</div> <div> is its ability to bring about cell death by depleting cell levels of</div> <div> glutathione Medicine Journal, April 9, 2001] So glutathione is also an</div> <div> antidote for mustard gas poisoning.</div> <bR> <div> Virtually all bacteria, viruses and fungi depend upon iron as a growth</div> <div> factor. [Iron & Your Health, T.F. Emery, CRC Press, 1991] Iron-chelating</div> <div> (removing) drugs and antibiotics (Adriamycin, Vancomycin, others) are</div> <div> effective against pathogens. The plague (Yersinia pestis), botulism,</div> <div> smallpox and anthrax could all be potentially treated with non-prescription</div> <div> metal-binding chelators. For example, iron removal retards the growth</div> <div> of the plague. [Medical Hypotheses, January 1980] The biological activity of</div> <div> the botulinum toxin depends upon iron, and metal chelators may be</div> <div> beneficial. Infection Immunology, October 1989, Toxicon, July, 1997].</div> <bR> <div> Phytic acid (IP6), derived as an extract from rice bran, is the most potent</div> <div> natural iron chelator and has strong antibiotic and antioxidant action.</div> <div> [Free Radical Biology Medicine, Volume 8, 1990; Journal Biological</div> <div> Chemistry, August 25, 1987] IP6 has been found to have similar</div> <div> iron-chelating properties as desferrioxamine, a drug commonly used to</div> <div> kill germs, tumor cells or to remove undesirable minerals from the body.</div> <div> [Biochemistry Journal, September 15, 1993] IP6 rice bran extract (2000-4000</div> <div> mg) should be taken in between meals with filtered or bottled water</div> <div> only (no juice). </div> <bR> <div> The antibacterial, antiseptic action of plant oils has been described</div> <div> in recent medical literature and may be helpful in fighting biological</div> <div> toxins. [Journal Applied Microbiology, Volume 88, 2000] A potent natural</div> <div> antibiotic, more powerful than many prescription antibiotics, is oil of</div> <div> oregano. One study showed that oregano completely inhibited the growth</div> <div> of 25 germs such as Staphylococcus aureas, Escherichia coli, Yersinia</div> <div> enterocolitica and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. [Phytotherapy Research, May 2000] Wild oregano,</div> <div> which is quite different than the variety on most kitchen spice racks, has</div> <div> over 50 antibacterial compounds. Just one part wild oregano oil in 4000</div> <div> dilution sterilizes contaminated water. [London Times, May 8, 2001]</div> <bR> <div> Oregano powder from whole leaf oregano is available as OregamaxTM</div> <div> capsules (North American Herb & Spice Co.). A spectacular development in</div> <div> natural antibiotic therapy is the manufacture of oregano powder from 100%</div> <div> pure oregano oil, producing one of the most potent antibiotics known. It has</div> <div> recently become available under the trade name OregacinTM (North American</div> <div> Herb & Spice Co.). It costs about $1 per pill, but this is a far cry</div> <div> from the $16 per pill for Vancomycin, known as most potent prescription</div> <div> antibiotic. </div> <bR> <div> Nature also provides nerve gas antitoxins. Nerve gas interrupts the</div> <div> normal transmission of nerve impulses by altering levels of</div> <div> acetycholinesterase, the enzyme that degrades the nerve transmitter</div> <div> acetycholine. Huperzine A, a derivative of Chinese club moss, has been</div> <div> suggested as a pre-treatment against nerve gases. [Annals Pharmacology</div> <div> France, January 2000] The Walter Reed Army Institute of Research conducted</div> <div> studies which revealed that Huperzine A protects against nerve gas poisoning</div> <div> in a superior manner to physostigmine, a long-standing anti-nerve</div> <div> toxin.drug. [Defense Technical Information Center Review, Volume 2, December</div> <div> 1996] Huperzine A is available as a food supplement at most health food</div> <div> stores. Suggested dosage is 150 mcg per day. Pretreatment is advised prior</div> <div> to nerve gas exposure.</div> <bR> <div> SUMMARY. The threat of biological warfare is real and concern over</div> <div> preparedness of the civilian population and medical professionals is</div> <div> growing. There is virtually no practical way that vaccines, antibiotics</div> <div> or other treatment can be delivered to a frightened populace in a timely</div> <div> manner during a crisis. The current strategy of having an unprotected</div> <div> citizenry travel to physicians' offices or hospitals to receive prophylactic</div> <div> care or treatment is unfeasible. The public must be armed with preventive or</div> <div> therapeutic agents in their vehicles, homes and the workplace. Natural</div> <div> antibiotics and antitoxins are well documented in the medical</div> <div> literature, but overlooked by health authorities. This “non-prescription/non-drug” option (which can only be sold as a mineral supplement at this time, but is pending FDA approval to labeled as an antibiotic) is called by several names, such as the BioRadDefense ASAP Solution (or simply ASAP Solution) and is manufactured using a process patented by American Silver, LLC.<FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#0000FF" FACE="Arial" ><U>(http://www.asapsolution.com/) </U></FONT>(Note: There may be other good products on the market.
