at Port Gibson, May 1,   2 enlisted men killed, 8 enlisted men  wounded--total  10:   

at Champion's Hill,  May 16,  1 enlisted man wounded:

at Big Black River Bridge, May 17, 1 officer (Lieutenant Reuben Kennedy) and 2 enlisted men killed, 1 enlisted man wounded--total 4;

in the assault May 19, 1 officer and 9 enlisted men wounded--total 10

in skirmish May 20,  1 enlisted man killed;

in the assault May 23,  6 enlisted men killed, 1 officer (Lieutenant Willis O. Ferguson, mortally) and 22 enlisted men wounded--total 29;

in skirmish May 23, 6 enlisted men wounded.
June 21,  General Osterhaus requested that the Regiment, then at Warrenton, be sent to him at Big Black River Bridge.
