OBITUARY NOTICE (dated 12-27-1922):
WAR VETERAN - John Fishbaugh Passed
Away this Morning at His Home
Following Several Years of Failing
Health- Funeral Services will be
Held Friday Afternoon Mr. John
Fishbaugh, aged 77 years, a veteran
of the Civil war passed away this
morning at five o'clock at his home
719 Pierce avenue. He suffered a
stroke three years ago and has been
in failing health ever since. On
Saturday he suffered a slight second
stroke. He was a member of the Union
Veteran Legion. Surviving are his wife
six sons, Charles of the city, Wiley
and Lewis of Logan, Will and Frank of
Newark, Ohio, and John, of Zanesville.
Three daughters, Mrs. P.F. Baus of
Columbus, Miss Carrie of the home, and
Mrs. C.M. Bontrager of West Lafayette,
Ohio. Twenty one grandchildren and six
great grand children. One daughter
preceded him in death in infancy.
Funeral services will be conducted
Friday afternoon at two o'clock at the
Mills Memorial U.B. Church with Rev.
Harper in charge and burial will take
place in Forest Rose Cemetery. Funeral
director F.E. Smith in charge.
