Croc Festival

Painted Silk Banners
The Croc Festival is a series of performing arts
festivals for the benefit of young people in rural and remote
areas of Australia. CrocFest is a three day event with performances
by primary and secondary school groups on two nights. Today, Year
9 spent the day attending sports clinics, visual arts workshops,
career markets, health expos, cultural activities and science
happenings - all very hands-on stuff. They had the opportunity
to learn new skills in all sorts of interesting areas. The best
part was making silk banners. The kids used wax and paint to create
banners depicting lotus lilies and dragonflies and the finished
banners looked great.
