Hiroshima Peace Museum

Sticker from the Peace Park

The atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima at 8.15 am on the 6th August, 1945. It's devastation was total and people are still being affected by the radiation that was spawned by the bomb.

The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum is a gruesome reminder of the horrors perpetuated by the use of atomic weapons. Let's hope that this devastation never happens again.

In the granite chest of the Cenotaph there are the names of 100,000 people who have died as a result of the A-bomb. Each year more names are added.

"Let all the souls here rest in peace,

For we shall not repeat the evil."

The flame is not eternal. It will be extinguished when the last nuclear weapon is removed from Earth.
