A weekend of events in Mataranka. The focus was on Jeannie Gunn with the movie, "We of the Never Never" being screened at Mataranka Homestead Resort. The "Chapel in the Bush" church service reflected on the hardships and tragedies associated with life in the Territory Outback 100 years ago at Elsey Station, and celebrated the life we enjoy today as a result. There was a rodeo as well as the "Aeneas Gunn Memorial Bowls Tournament", the "Never Never Cricket Carnival", live music & bush poetry readings.
