Kyoto Shopping

The lure of the shopping in the Kyoto Station Complex was too much - apart from the fact that once I got into it I couldn't find the way out again. To get back to the "ryokan" (traditional Japanese Inn) where we were staying, I needed to be on the side of the station OPPOSITE the Tower but no matter how many holes I dived down I kept coming up on the SAME side as the Tower - what a good get-people-shopping strategy!

There was no doubt that it was coming up to Christmas - Christmas songs blaring everywhere. Also lots of Christmas trees, including this huge one in "Sky Garden".
