On our last poll we asked: "What do you think of Catalog Parties?'. The results are in! Out of 26 votes 19% said they were great; 34% said they were okay; 3% hate them with a pation; and a whopping 42% said the didn't know what a catalog party was.
A catalog party is where the hostess gathers the names and snail mail addies of people who want to buy from a particular mail order mag. The hostess recieves free gifts if the order is over...say $100, and everyone else gets a small percentage off thier order amount(expecially if there are a lot of people ordering a lot of stuff. Most companies will give volume discounts.) When the orders are sent in, then everyone pays for what they ordered after the hostess receives them at her place(I think this is how it goes. Never been in one and this is how it was explained to me.) . Hope this helps those without a clue(I mean that in a good way. :).
