Photographs of the Lancaster and Chester Railway

L&C Extra awaits a crew at Allvac in May, 2002.
In this shot, the same train heads toward Lancaster.
Same tree, different perspective on an excursion train.
In October, 2001, I chased a train from Richburg to Kershaw then back to the shop in Lancaster. On the radio, I listened to North Carolina beat Clemson 38 to 3. Units in use on this day were L&C SW1500 #96, L&C SW900 #91, LLPX SW1001 #91, LLPX SW1500 #215 and L&C SW1500 #95.
Passing through Fort Lawn beside Hwy. 9 and under Hwy. 21.
Here is an unordinary view from me of the train passing through Plesant Hill. The train is on the former Southern SB line now.
And now the crew prepares to head back to Lancaster. The cars will be eft tucked out of the way on the SB line while the locomotives are left at the shop. On Monday, the cars will be taken to Chester on Train 14. LLPX #91 will be left at the shop and will eventually be sent to Circle S to shuffle cars.
On Saturday July 7, 2001, we chased another L&C train from Richburg to Kershaw then back to Lancaster. Units in use on this day were SW900 #92, SW1200s 93 and 94 and 1500s 95 and 96 consecutively numbered.
On 11/21/2001, five units led by LLPX #215 worked Guardian Industries in Richburg.
