Dream Telepathy Contest
Hosted by Rita Dwyer and Robert Van de Castle
Test your dreaming mind's ability to tune into a visual target which will be broadcast telepathically during the night. Loosely patterned on the experiments in dream telepathy documented at the Maimondes Dream Laboratory in Brooklyn, New York, our annual contest is a playful but surprisingly successful way to test your telepathic skills.
Instructions
All times given as Pacific Coast Daylight Times. Use use Time Zone Converter for your region.
- On Friday night July 12, 1966 after 10:30 PM a SENDER will be given a randomly selected picture.
- The sender will randomly select a target picture from a pool of four provided by an agent who is not a part of this contest. All four pictures will be dissimilar in content, mood, theme, number of characters, etc. but only one will be chosen as the target.
- His or her object will be to send the dreaming participants a clear dream
picture of the actual physical target picture.
- Dreamers on site as well as far-away are encouraged to go to bed with the
direct intention to tune into this target while dreaming and to this end, all
dreams should be recalled and recorded with as much detail as possible. Don't
forget to mention things like inside/outside, geographic location, numbers of
people, animals, historical aspects, colors, times of day or year, sayings,
songs, emotions, actions, themes, etc. The sender will try to reach you on as
many levels as possible --it's up to you to tune into his/her message.
- All posts and e-mail BEFORE 12:00 NOON Pacific Time on July 13th will be considered as precognitive.
- CONFERENCE ATTENDEES will get to see the four pictures from the target pool
in the morning and will have the opportunity to put their dream(s) into a box
or envelope in front of the picture they feel their dreams most clearly
portrayed as the target being sent during the night.
- INTERNET PARTICIPANTS will not have this opportunity to see the pool and
select what they think the target based upon their dreams of the night, but
their dream records will be read by the judges with equal interest and
fairness, and the one(s) most clearly related to the target will be noted and
awarded a HUGE blue ribbon as Most Telepathic Dreamer of 1996 via the Net,
with another on-site dreamer receiving the same huge blue ribbon as Most
Telepathic Dreamer of 1996 on site.
SEND the dream text either:
- E-mail to Telepathy@dreamgate.com or
- Post to the ASD Bulletin Board Under "Telepathy Contest - XIII".
Post before, Saturday July 13, before 12:00 NOON Pacific Time.
Winners will be announced before 6PM with conference attendees able to see the results as posted prior to the dream ball where ribbons will be awarded. Internet winner(s) also will be announced on the bulletin board, again that night at the ball, and in the ASD
Newsletter, as well as noted on the ASD internet bulletin board.
This contest is fun, but it also is a useful exercise towards proving that
dreams do indeed have a telepathic component that even the sleep/dream labs
can't replicate.Year after year this contest provides evidence to and from
even those most skeptical of dreamers who "play the game" expecting nothing,
but end up becoming intrigued with the results and believers in the process.
Hey, telepathy is a natural gift, more common in dreams than you might
expect, and most important, available to all at no cost, but for your
efforts in recalling and recording your dreams of the night and sending them
along via the web. Try it--you'll like it! You might even become a blue
ribbon winner and prove that dreams don't need you on site to tune in with
accuracy!
