ABSTRACT
AN ALCHEMICAL MODEL FOR DISCOVERING/ EXPERIENCING THE SIGNIFICANCE
OF DREAMS
General Event with SVEN DOEHNER, PHD., MFA
18 yrs. working with dreams in different cultural contexts (including
native healers in Brazil, Mexico and Peru) combine with training in depth
psychology and actual everyday work within an alchemical psychology imagination,
suggest a methodology, or discipline, which unfailingly leads to both a
discovery and an experience of the dream image with self-evident therapeutic
and spritual results.
ABSTRACT
BLENDING NATIVE HEALING PRACTICES WITH DEPTH PSYCHOLOGY APPROACHES TO DREAM WORK, "HEALING" AND "SPIRITUALITY"
General Event with SVEN DOEHNER, PHD., MFA
My interest and experience have to do with exploring "healing" and discovering
"spirituality" in blending "shamanic" practices with "modern" depth psychology
work. I would like to participate in a panel discussion on these themes,
and share my experience.
ABSTRACT
AN ALCHEMICAL WAY OF EXPERIENCING DREAM IMAGES IN A GROUP CONTEXT
Workshop with SVEN DOEHNER, PHD., MFA
The dreamwork leader is known for creating the space and safety for
participants to experience images in the dream through sensitivity to sensations
and feelings awakened by the dream. By way of careful and concise
descriptions of unconscious responses to the dream by different participants,
it is possible for the dreamer to discover and experience different aspects
of the dream in ways that only he or she can understand.
The approach is respectful of the ego's resistances and is strictly
non-interpretative. A methodology is followed to serve participants
as a guide in practicing the dream-work for themselves.
The goal is to follow a path of sensitivity to the images that will allow
one to truly experience and discover something unknown through the dream-work.
